Join us for a reception honoring Captain Patricia Cantu, the highest-ranking Latina in the Houston Police Department.

Since 2000 she has served Houston and beyond, even heading up the VolunteerCaptain’s Relief Team from Houston to support the Puerto Rico Police Department with traffic control without electricity, distribute supplies and all else associated with natural catastrophe relief efforts.

We are a diverse group of women with a mission to empower the community by awarding scholarships to Latinas graduating from High School, and by promoting friendship and understanding of cultures in the Americas – Canada, USA, Mexico, Central and South America. We all volunteer our time and efforts and we focus on finding resources for Young Latinas who aspire to go to college.
