¡VIVA PAN AMERICA!

Did you know April 14th is Pan American Day? This year we celebrated the occassion with a marvelous evening filled with music, food and Pan American flair.

¡VIVA PAN AMERICA! featured internationally known dancers Susana Collins and Gonzalo André and singer/guitarist Victorio Menghi as well as Ambassadors International Ballet Folklorico highlighting various Pan American countries through dance. DJ Sunshine kept the fun going with great music throughout the night.

PART Historian, Kaye Fraser, gave a special presentation about the early history of Pan American Round Table in Houston. She was later bestowed with a beautiful emblem of PART Houston for her extensive research and work as Historian of the Table.

Guests included Bolivian Consul Rene E. Verduguez Linares and his wife, Felix and Nelly Fraga, and members of the Mexican American Hispanic Bar Association.

Proceeds from the event benefited the PART Houston Scholarship Fund.

 

 

Evening with the Houston Symphony

 

On Wednesday, February 21st around 100 guests gathered at The Magnolia Hotel in Downtown Houston for a very special cultural event.  Allegro, an intimate concert with Houston Symphony’s community-embedded musicians was born through a partnership with the Houston Symphony’s Hispanic Leadership Council featuring musicians Rainel Joubert, violin, David Connor, double bass.

The concert featured classical works and musical selections from the Americas in honor of Pan American art and culture. The event began with an hour of cocktails and light bites, followed by opening remarks by Musical Ambassador Carlos Andrés Botero.

Proceeds from the event benefited the PART Houston Scholarship Fund.
